Unless you're going larger than the stock TB, just port it yourself. Save the money. For first mods, I'd recommend exhaust and tune. just my opinion.

Yeah i though it would be a good idea to get kooks or pacesetter LT's , im also pretty tempted to get a hooker catback. How much do the LT's usually go for anyways?

the pacesetters are 300 to 400ish. the kooks are going to run you quite a bit more.

pacesetter headers are cheap, but they wont last you forever. Kooks would be an excellent stainless steal header but it wont be cheap. There about a grand and then you have to pay for installation which is pricey. If i accumulated a $1,000 dollars from grad, i would get a borla/corsa catback

you can find used borla on tech from around 300 i just picked up a corsa for 400 shipped.

Artic White- 98 Z28
For a grand I would go with lid, ported throttle body/ls6 manifold(depending on yr of ur car), a cut out and underdrive pulleys. All of these from tech/sponsor sales would be right around a grand. You can install most your self.

It is true the kooks headers are not cheap, I paid around $1400 for mine with the Y pipe with conveters
Kooks LT headers w/ Y pipe & SLP loud mouth
Diablo programer
SLP 90mm throttle body
SLP mas air flow
Eiback springs - SLPsub frame connectors
SLP strut tower bracket
BMR anti squat brackets
BMR panhard rod
3:73 gears
ZR 1 rims-315back/275front

4 jackstands
1 socket set (though you only need 4-5 sockets actually)
1 floor jack
1 case of cold beer
Even if you have NONE of the above, you can buy it all for less than half of what your going to pay to have someone install it for you. And, you'll have them for the next project you do. Just my .02 .

Ill probably go w/the catback exhaust (dunno which one yet) but it is a 2002 so i dont need to worry about the ls6 manifold.O btw its not a ws6.
