1999 Ws6

There is a 1999 ws6 for sale locally and have some questions about it. It has 114K miles was in a fender bender so has a dent but besides that the owner says it runs good. My question is is that too many miles for the price which is $9500? There is also a 1997 ws6 for sale with less miles but it is a lt1 obviously. I currently have a 1993 rx-7 and would like to get something with some torque. Pictures are on craigslist in california and then do a search for 1999 Firebird Trans Am WS6 it is the one for the price mentioned above. Thank you for all the help.

well kbb is 9900 private in good condition so looks sound to me

How long will the motor last though? Do these things just keep going or is there something to worry about?

114k is high. Esp on these cars that are usually beat on 114k may be more like 150k of wear. I'd pass and wait on a better deal. Don't go for the LT1 if you could get an LS1. Something will come around, took me 3 years to find my 99 TA M6, but when i did it had 10k for $10,000..the guy selling it had NOOOO idea what it was worth, did a car fax and bought it the first day i found it in the paper.

Kinda high, but its a WS6! Its a great way to get into one of these cars for under 10k. Drive the car, if it seems ok , then make your decision.

tell you what: buy the car for 8500 and before ANYTHING can happen to it, slap an ls6 motor in there for 5K and then you'll be in heaven.

only every other part of the car still has 114k on them

Thanks for all the help guys. I think I may go look at the car and see if I can get if for around 8 if it drives well. I really want one and know the camaro is the same but the camaro is ugly to me, its too plain and boring. There are so many more of them around than the trans ams and all the ws6's are going for about 21K which is way too much for my budget. Thanks for the help, I will be wary of this car.

so tru, before i bought my ls1 i was lookin at a 93 z28 with 30k on it, the guy (kid) was askin $6,000. I was ready to go for it when i realized....it had LTs, no cats, custom dual exhaust, new intake manifold and he said he was on his 3rd set of tires (which were already bald). He said he never beat on it and that his friends used to call him "grandpa" because he drove so slow.......I don't mind being told a story, just don't insult my intelligence when it's beyond obvious with evidence the abuse that car's been through...catch my drift..

but yea, theres always someone selling one. you'll find one.
