1999 ws.6 A4

i'm looking at a very well priced 1999 a4 ws.6. Can you guys tell me any inherent problems with these cars. It's coming with drilled/slotted rotors new pads and a Loud Mouth exhaust. I just read the sticky of differences through the years; let me know if there's anything I should be aware of, as i'm coming from a 2000 m6

no problemos between 98-00 and 01-02 fbodys, what's the miles and $?

Automatic boredom. If you really liked shifting you'll miss it.

nothing wrong with A4, just move the shift points with a pro tune then
just stall it later on too if you really want to make best use if it. I would choose A4 built up and stalled over M6 any time even on the street. I am armed at 3200rpm at all time, noice.

I am going to have to agree here. I daily a M6, but when I drive my bros 300m Auto it just feels...... BLAH

I agree stock A4 tranny is blah even mildly tuned is stil blah blah, do a stage 4 built and 3200 stall or higher then it is yeah!

I guess what people mean is that they are a little boring to drive. All you do is hit the gas and go. With an M6 you are in control of what the tranny is doing.

A4 done well is not boring just easier to drive. Not sure I would have fun shifting all the time in traffic and stuff.

not to mention most of the M6 that I raced mess up on shifting, just this Saturday I was in the C6 yellow vette with the guy off of LS2.com going to Ennis tack and and he got stuck in 3rd it locked on him for a sec could not shift?

If it's a car no matter how the auto is done it's boring. I'd even get bored if I had a Viper with an auto. I'd only get one if it was for track only. I don't mind traffic. With the power there isn't much need to shift alot.
