Red Tint Jewelcoat- 2008 Trailblazer SS
Nothing really.
Coils are mounted different along with the perimeter valvecover bolts.
Otherwise, no better/worse than the 99-00.2008 Trailblazer SS
Yank PTB3600, Kooks 1 7/8" LT's, 4" intake, E-fans, Magnaflow, Sonnax kit, tranny cooler, tune.
Lowered, HID's, tinted.

There's only a few differences between the 98's and 99+. Like he said the coil packs are mounted individually and the heads have perimeter bolts versus center bolts. As far as flowing any worse that's the first I've ever heard of that.
The oil passages on the backs of the blocks don't flow as well as the 99+, the mains don't have oil passage windows in them like the 99+ blocks, and the pcm's are single segment instead of 8 segment like the 99+. Minor stuff really unless you spin a bearing.

Black- 1998 Trans Am WS6 'Vert
'98s have higher flowing fuel injectors, so that makes them better. But then again, I'm biased.

Black/ Blue and white- 98/99 Trans am
Okay you know what sucks on the 98's. Well what happened in 98. When did the cars come available to the public? Around June. I ordered one and it took 6 months to get. Thats why the single exhaust. Some bullshit about it not passing admissions or something. Okay now what happened in 98? STRIKE. They went on strike and while building the 98 model they probably did'nt give a flying f%^& with a strike pending.
I have had the trans replaced under warrenty at 500 miles. yeah 500. Then at 23k I had to have it rebuilt again. i know how to drive believe me and I do not beat on it at all.Nice car though but the trans sucksLast edited by ramairs801; 06-23-2006 at 08:25 PM.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that. I've got 89k hard miles on my tranny with the line pressure up, stalled, torque management off, and shift times cut in half and haven't had any problems with it ( knock on wood). I think sometimes you just get some bad parts like any other complex machine.
Of course now that I said that my tranny will take a shit on me.
