1998 Firebird installing Trans am hatch

I have a 1998 Pontiac Firebird Formula and I have installed the Ram Air Package. Now I want to install the Trans-Am hatch. i like the looks of the Spolier. Can anyone tell me doesn't everything interchange as far as the interior trim etc.

    Thank You,

    Undress

the hatches should interchange. On interior trim I believe there are a couple different color options so that might be a problem.

    Done All That

The only thing we are lacking is the wing....Not much difference inthe 1998 and up bumper between the ws6 and firebird....The rear spoiler just makes the car along with the ram-air package.

actually, there is a big difference between the v6/formula bumpers and the TA bumper. The TA's was designed with the exhaust rises and ground effects to match the side moldings and front fascia while the v6 and formulas' were higher off the ground with less definition for the pipes. as for the hatch... if you pull the trim piece off the underside of it and unbolt your low wing, you can trade it out for the TA wing without having to change the whole hatch (that window alone is $500). Everything will bolt up just fine, but the issues you will have may be paint matching, fading in the exposed areas and not under the old wing, and you'll have to run wire for the TA wing's brake light.

    Unbolting the lower wing

I did not know that. I thought it was a full piece. I have the firebird with the ls1 so the bumper i have is the same as the TA...I just like the looks of the TA's wing and the Ram Air Hood. We have done alot of extra and love the car I know where it's been if you catch my drift.

So back to installing the TA wing How is this done do you have and suggestions. I've seen one on ebay this guy took off the wing and was trying to sell it seperate. I could buy that one if it's that simple.

check it out let me know what you think

just have to copy and paste it in your address bar he is local and wants 95.00...if this can be done...please let me know.

    Thanks for all the help

aside from the fact that you double posted.....

i think a very good look for the birds is the v6-style body kit (see user innerchi89 's car)

with the trans am hatch, and a ram air hood....

    gives it a hybrid look....formy meets t/a

but the classic t/a and ws6 ta looks are the best.... that bumper just looks great...

YOU CANNOT UNNBOLT THE LOW FORMULA SPOILER AND BOLT ON THE TA SPOILER!!!
IF YOU WANT THE TRANS AM SPOILER YOU NEED THE WHOLE HATCH.
Trust me I have done this swap before.
You can find most complete decklids for about 300.00 COMPLETE !!
PM me if you have questions.
