1993-2002 Front Fenders
This may be a dumb question but I've gotta know. I know there were subtle differences between the 1993-1997 and 1998-2002 models. My question is, could I use fenders from a 2002 Trans Am with a 1997 front end? They look compatible but will all the seams line up with the front nose?

I don't think so but I'm not sure. When people do the front end conversions on LT1 cars they always change the fenders too

TRIPLE BLACK- 2000 CAMARO SS M6 #2100
They are not compatible. The 98-02 fenders are a lil shorter with a different seam line where they meet with the bumper. They also arch upwards slightly more than the 93-97 fenders so they would not line up with the hood on the side anyway. I wanted to do this swap when I had my old 95 Formula also. Since it wasn’t possible I ended up going with the 70s Trans Am vents that I custom molded them into the fenders along with some other custom things here and there. It came out really well and was unique also. Too bad I totaled her, I still miss her to this day

Yes the newer fenders won't work for the above reasons plus they use some different mounting brackets then the 93-97. You can mount the whole newer front end on your older car if you have all the parts. Its a bolt up conversion with a small amount of wiring. If you have everything you need except the fenders, I'd go ahead and buy the fenders also. I got everything I needed from craigslist. Had to search for awhile, but got the whole setup for $400. Again Cali prices will be higher and again I suggest Arizona for parts.

Thanks everyone for your input. I haven't purchased or made any modifications yet. If and when I make any mods I will post them up.

I love the paint. The ZR-1 wheels would have looked even better if the centers were blue or the pearl white thats on the car. Sweet lookin ride though.
