There was a lot of variation in performance levels, as not all muscle cars were created equal. Some were very well thought out, and others were badge-and-stripes presentations with a little exhaust rumble. A few muscle cars had tuned-in staff, that is designers and engineers with a passion for performance. The Firebird had its share of them.

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
My neighbors son bought one back in 73 and he ripped up and down the street day and night. I remember my dad calling the cops more then once on him. Super cool car with 4 speed, shaker hood and that 8-track tape player. I got to ride in it once two years later and he scared the shit outa me going around a 35mph turn at 80. He sold the car a year later for a Olds Cutlass because he was going away to college. Never saw him again but I do remember that ride from almost 40 years ago.
My ride is a 2002 Camaro SS SLP #3296 with 30k, LTH, 3" Y, CME, Frost tune, K&N, ported TB, Blackwing lid, Bellows, MSD, Denso Iridium, and 85mm MAF, Bilsteins, Eibach springs, SLP strut brace, Adj. Panhard, TA Girdle, UMI, Pro 5.0, Nitto NT555
My wife has a 2004 GTO with the rare SAP, 18" wheels, K&N Cold Air System, MSD, Ported TB, Frost tune, Denso Iridium, Flowmaster cat-back, 3200 Yank, 75k
