Black as black can be- 2001 Trans Am WS6
01 WS6 no TCS?
Everyone has told me I have to have a TCS button my my shifter, but I dont, while tranny was out I noticed I had 1 connector that didnt go to anything when I took my console apart...every trans am or WS6,SS camaro,Z28 I have seen has one of them TCS buttons...my 2001 WS6 is all black, black leather, 6SPEED,3:42 gears, alum driveshaft, ram air hood, raised ram air box to fit with the hood, and when I took tranny out it had the Z06 clutch like the 01-02 WS6 had.....why dont I have a TCS button?....why dont I have traction control....I know its hard to do a brakestand, I cant even do it at the track I just roll through the water and dump it at 5000 and it spins and quits...but in stock form it ran 13.08 with just a slp air lid I put on and msd plug wires and hooker muffler...thats was my first run and it was a 2.0 60ft...I never had that good in a stick...you think maybe I had TCS at one point and a previous owner broke the original console, then got one from a F body that didnt have a TCS button and installed it?...would the TCS just be stuck on?...maybe thats why I hook so good?

My 98 has no traction control. Factory option? My traction control is my right foot.

Even cars w/o TCS had the plug behind the console.

if you dont have it, consider yourself lucky---- it's annoying to have to turn it off every time you start your car

thats the anwser I was lookin for, I bet thats it then my car just doesnt have it, and my pedal doesnt push back, I guess that old worn out Z06 clutch was slippin a bit is why I never spun and always hooked up and had 2.0-2.2 60ft's....I got my built tranny in,headers, catless y pipe and spec clutch and I only got 40 miles on it all but I had to try it so I hit it in 1st going about 10mph and my ass end just went straight right...definately a lot more power now and clutch grabs harder
