    01 ta vs 06 gto

    i have an 01 ta ws6 with lt headers, slp catback, (no cats) slp cold air, 160 stat. my cousin has an 06 gto with the same mods plus programmer and mt et drags who should win from a roll (damn street tires).

    He will run away from you, Just ran my buddies 06GTO(stock) last nite from 50 to about 130-135. I took off about 2 cars ahead of him and by 130 he had 1-2 cars on me.

    K&N, cut out air box
    180 thermo fans set to come on early -it was like 50 degrees at the time
    mizierre electric water pump
    edelbrock shorty headers
    dual exhaust no cats
    SLP LM2
    diablo programmer
    SLP underpulley
    Nitto 555s
    I only ran about 3/4 trhottle to about 115 then WOT, still it wouldnt have made much of a dirrence.
    Also my TA isnt it the best shape I'm having some rear end / and tail shaft issues right now (guess it didnt like running at the track this year)

    Yes it would have! Always floor it, don't do the almost floored thing.

    I didnt want to floor it cause the T/A is "wounded" and I am trying to make her last until this spring when she gets a new moser 12 bolt, 373s and a new tranny also. Normally I wouldnt care if I break it or not but I'm buying parts for my "Other car". And besides he didnt floor it until he hit about 125 anyway.

    regardless of weather or not its 'injured' , it still would have made a difference
