    01 firehawk

    i am purchasing an 01 firehawk and it has a noise in the engine, the person told me it is a piston slap is that common?

    in cold weather it is, myne does it all the time until its warmed up. If its doing it on normal conditions id have it checked out.

    Mine does it all the time. When cold anyone would notice but after it warms up I suspect I would be the only one that hears it. It hasn't hurt anything yet as far as I can tell, I've had the rev limiter changed to 6600 and have shift at 6500 fairly often and she seems to like it.

    Very common. Some worse than others but, I've never heard of it hurting anything
