Also since this is a 2000, there isnt a chance that the LS6 block will be in it is there?

I dont know what to tell u about the financing. But I believe thats a great buy. I bought an 01 ws6 with 35,000 miles for the same amount and it had been wrecked but was fixed and looks new. Sounds like a great deal. BUY IT!

alright thanks for everyones help, im going to check into getting a loan. anybody know about my ls6 block ? is there a possibility it has the ls6 block in it or not... its only a 2000 but did they just put those in some of the 01's and 02's also is the reason the newer models have more power because of the intake and exhaust or is it because of the engine too? its not like im concerned about really going that fast or racing in it. Im just kinda curious.

I believe the info you have is correct on the factory installed LS6 block, they were put in 10-15% of the '01's and like up to 25% in the '02's. You can verify the block number #12561168 LS6 block, it is located at the back of the block above the transmission flange on the drivers side. There is a difference in block luster, the LS6 block is duller made at the Nemak plant the shinnery LS1 block is made at the Montupet plant. All LS1 blocks starting in 2003 were all made at the Newmak plant (LS6 block) Hope this helps...
