I had it on mine for several months. The only reason I pulled it off was because when I got my dyno tune they shut the CAGS off in the PCM. For $.99 you'll get enough resistors to do 5 cars.
For instructions go to www.installuniversity.com. Go to LSX, and then install documents. Scroll down to transmission and you'll see "!CAGS". That's the one you need. When I bent my resistor into a U shape I also folded it over to the side. I ran electrical tape around it a couple times to make sure it stayed in place. Finally I used a small sandwich baggie over the the plug on the tranny as well as the harness with the resistor held in place with a rubber band. Worked fine for me. I drove through some hellacious rains with that setup and never had an issue.

I did mine and 3.5 years and a new owner later it's still doing great. The 30 dollar unit is just a resistor in plug form. Do it

I have had mine done for about 6 months and it is the best mod you can do to one of these cars. It makes driving it a whole lot more enjoyable, and for .99!! It is a 2.2k ohm, 1/2 watt resistor, I have 4 extra if ya need one, lol

Black- 2001 Chevrolet Camaro Z28
I did it yesterday, heck of a lot better than spending $20+ for the same thing. There is a fella on Ebay selling the same resistor and a piece of tape for $10.00, crazy.
I too have four extras if anybody needs one. Paypal me the postage and I'll mail one to you.2001 Z-28, T-56, Black, stock.......for now.

cause 6-speed trannys make you go from 1st to 4th gear under light acceleration, it sucks. skip shift gets rid of that

Used it for about a year until I had other reasons for tuning. It works exactly as the $25 option. You should use $.05 worth of electrical tape to keep things dry.
