Always go lower.........you go low, he'll go high, you'll end up meeting in the middle. Personally, I'd pay no more than $20k. That's just my $.02

Offer 20 and see where it take you. White or black SS's are the best colors out there.

I was thinking around that same line. 20k would be my top dollar.

Red- 1998 Camaro SS
re:
Do you plan on doing any mods to it? Or leave it stock and keep it more for collector value?
If you plan to keep it for collector value, then I would not pay over 20K either.
If you plan on moding it, then you might be able to find another SS with a few more miles, but at much less of a price. Which would leave you more money for the mods.1998 Camaro SS Hard Coupe Bright Red #1593

20k would be a great price, thought you really wont know for sure until you check out the car in person. i know i overpaid a bit on my car, but i paid 20k for mine 5 years ago and it had 26k on the clock.

damn Olathe, KS. i grew up in Overland Park...
i'd offer right around 20k. with under 10k, and the car being 6yrs old unless he needs to sell it quick, cards are in his hands. white is one hell of a color. get it if you can. grab the VIN # and find out what options it has and then go to Edmonds and list the car. that will give you a very good idea and a great bargining tool as well...2018 CTS-V: °°668rwhp/658rwtq°°
2013 ZL1: °°590rwhp/576rwtq°°

Thats about what all the low mileage 4th gens are going for,,,sounds about right.
Just up the street from me is a Chevrolet dealer,,,with an 02 WS6 Convertable in Navy Blue Metallic,,,,only has 4,000 original miles,,,,,this thing is like brand new,,looked at it myself,,,and asking price is also $22,000,,,and this is a vert.
With that said, you are in the ballpark, if you don't buy it I'm sure someone else will.

it would be more of a weekend driver, so it would be a collector. I had a 71 chevelle ss in high school but parents made me sell it to pay for school, so I'm wanting something in my era to hold on too

I've seen that car on Cars.com for almost a year now. That guy must be really trying to get the $22,000.

Well you would have to check to make sure it's even still available. I find that alot of online ads like that,,,,the cars have sold months ago and they never take them off, or are not informed the car has sold. It seems after a car is sold the sellers never bother to contact them to remove the car, you would think they would get tired of hearing the phone ring or something.
Then again,,,things aren't selling as well now either, people are just not buying like they were a year ago. But that doesn't mean the car is not worth what he's asking though.

22k is waaaaaay too much. Sorry, but our vehicles didn't hold their value that well! As a previous poster said, a ws6 with less miles in a droptop should be about that price. Anytime I see a low mile 4th gen SS sell, it goes for about 15-16k. A good sale nets around 17, but no more. I'd keep looking.
She's baaaaaccccck...

white, white and pewter- Rip99SSA4,74Z28M4,02SSM6
id say buy it, looks to me as it has no slp options, so in all reality not to be a dick, the only collectibility it has it the low miles which in comparison to your competition aint that low, if i was you i would offer him 18k go no higher than 19.
and for prowler, compared to other sports cars of the same years and class, they hold there value alot better.
i say buy it, i loved my 99 ss, i miss it too,

im thinking 18k but it all depends on what part of the country you are in. they hold there value very well here in tennessee. the miles dont affect the price as much as the overall condition i have noticed too. so if you find one with 50-60k on it you are still looking at 15-16k on the price. i gave 11k for mine in july 07 with 94k on it but the car was one owner and very very clean.
