what to look for/avoid and pitfalls for ls1 cars??
hey guys I have decided to trade up from my 91 tpi Z28 to an ls1 camaro and i have some that I have found that I really want to go see and drive but I thought id check and see if you guys have any suggestions or specifics to look for/ avoid?? should i try and stay away from the 90"s ls1 cars? anything like that would be of some help. I just want to have all the knowlage i can before I drop some coin.

I guess I would go with a 01 or 02 if you can. I have heard they have better posi units which I would assume is true because when I had mine apart there are no clutches. And also I think 01 and 02 have LS6 intake manifolds. As for engine knock I think most also have that if Im not mistaken.

what do you mean engine knock???? like piston slap knock or what do you mean??

I guess I will always think of it as knock others might call it slap, go on youtube and look up LS1 engine knock.

PEWETER METALIC- 2002 CAMARO Z-28 M-6
Its piston slap and is completely normal for an LS car due to the aluminum block. However the slap should go away as the vehicle warms up. If it does not, do yourself a favor and run lol.
