What is the deal with the water temp gauge in my 2000 SS,
It seems to have very little movement regardless of conditions

    Sadly now demodded :(

99 and up have 3 positions: Cold, Operating temp (210 regardless) and OH SHIT! IT'S GONNA BLOW!!!!!!

I call it and ID10T gauge.

This was a result of the buying public complaining about the needle moving (showing actual temp - how dare it!) during regular operation. Remember, most of the car buying public are brain dead operators that barely know where to put the gas in let alone what the "driving experience" is all about.

Buy a 98 gauge and sensor? Shot in the dark.
