Only drawback is you have to drill a 1-3/4" hole in the back of your fenderwell to pass the wires through. Other than that it is one of my favorite mods.

I must say I have not done this mod myself as I start sweating when thinking of drilling the hole...although I have done the secondary air removal...someday I'll hide the wires.

I'm not a huge fan of running wires inside the wheel well where they are exposed to the elements.

But someone should at least tell that guy to stick a rubber grommet in the massive hole he just drilled in the sheetmetal. That's an electrical short waiting to happen. Not to mention all the crap that will spray in there from the tire.

The wiring is totally shielded by the inner splashguard. I looked it over pretty good before deciding to go ahead with the mod. And yes, I installed a rubber grommet in the hole after filing the edges smooth. It's all good.

    +2

Personally, I don't like the big ball of E-tape that will need to be cut off if the harness needs service..

Nor would I like to remove my wheel and inner fender just to get to it..

    Oh well just my .02..
