    tru fiber ss hood

    has anyone ever had to repair a fiberglass hood. I bought a ss hood from afterthoughts auto and it came in today, but it has a crack in the ram air and i didnt notice it until it was too late. Has this ever happened to anyone, or how can I fix it.

    why don't you contact afterthought auto about it and see what they can do before you go and have the hood repaired.

    Why can't you just send it back? I would think that the company would return it if it was damaged.

    i think that they wouldnt have any issue with returning the damagerd hood. unless you have had the hood for 2 months then that would be a different story.

    If its a defective product they can't refuse to take it back. Did you already install in on your car or is it still in it's packaging?

    well its still in the packaging, but they told me that once it is signed for from the trucking company im waiving my right to return it, in other words saying i received it in good condition

    That's B.S. They can't do that. Contact them immediately and demand action. If not, then you might have to pursue them in court. If they sen't you a damaged hood, then it's their responsibility to fix/replace it. That's only good custom service.

    so what your supposed to have the UPS or FedEx driver wait for you to unpack the thing and inspect it before you sign for it. Na man they're just looking for a way out. Does what you signed say that once you sign that piece of paper you are waiving your rights?
