Thinking of buying 98 z28, need advice
Hey, this is my first post on here. Ive been looking into 4th gen fbodies. Just for a little history im chris, im 21 in college at pennstate and own a 92 RS and a 71 chevelle ss. Had an 85 monte carlo ss before but sold it. The 92 camaro is gettin on its last leg and the 4th gens look like a good car. Anyways i met a lady selling this 98 z28 for her son in a parking lot, took it for a ride and it seams like a real nice car. Red with black top(t-tops) grey leather interior, pretty much every option, automatic. 122,000 miles. Has some kind of factory looking body effects i cant seem to find pictures of, aftermarket billit alluminum grill but otherwise totally stock. Just about perfect paint and no problems that i noticed. new tires and brakes/rotors. She is asking $6500 but made it obvious she is willing to negotiate as it needs to go asap (son just had a baby, sports car has to go). I have a feeling i can get it for about $5500 or so. How does this car sound? should i jump on it or look around more. also anything inparticular to look for if i go check it out thoroughly, thanks for any help

Here is a picture of an almost identical car, Has the same body effects color combo, and grille. Only difference is the one im looking at is cleaner, doesnt have the aftermarket headlights, and has chrome rims.

Black and Red both M6's- 1998 Z28 and 1996 Z28
Sounds cheap enough it just depends on if you want an automatic or a t56. Either way they are fun and great cars
