    Is this supposed to happen???

    When i start the car the serpintine belt screaches and when i look under the hood the tentioner (pardon my spelling please) for the belt is moving back and forth and clicking on the block and its starting to smell bad

    No sir i would say that is not supposed to happen. I would invest in a tensioner unless you like not having an alternator , water pump, steering etc at about 85mph!

    Yeah definetly not fun. And wise choice buddy on using another car for now. while your at it get a new belt you never know if its damaged. also check the tensioner for the a/c. yes it has its own. at least on my 02 z it does. its on the bottom so youd need a lift or some ramps.easy to get to though.

    Not a bad idea to replace the belt while you are at it.

    Yes, new belt and tensioner
    No water pump and your engine is screwed
    No steering and your screwed

    I run the Katech solid tensioner and love it. Can forget about throwing a belt after installing it.

    Yeah... I think I have heard of that. My reason for asking was that I wanted to see it installed along with whatever else Ron has going on under the hood. He simply has a badass car and I could not recall viewing any recent underhood pics.

    Thanks guys after seeing that picture i had to cancel my order at the gm dealer and get the katech one it looks so bad ass
