    Stock??

I was under my car today and looked at the rear-end cover and was wondering if it was stock or not. Here is a pic. It says AAM on it, same with my driveshaft. Is that also aftermarket or stock?

I dont believe that cover is stock. Mine is completly smooth with no letters or any ridges on it. I wonder what else has been changed besides the cover the d-shaft.

I think that cover comes with the SLP optioned Auburn rear end, not sure about the drive shaft.

Well, back in "the good ole dayz" we used to do the same thing. Other than COPO cars (and even those too) and the like the factory made cars with the general public in mind, not the hard core enthusiast.

I'd definately say aftermarket. The PHR is also a tubular aftrmarket one. Take a lower pic to see more of it you might have quite a bit under there.

AAM covers came with 96-97 SS Camaros, although they say it was an option.

The AAM covers were optional from SLP and came with the Auburn differential. My car has the same cover and has never been altered.

stock or not, it's definitely better (stronger) than the usual sheet metal cover.

Don't you also have two swaybars in the rear?
