    any comments on how to do this... how hard is it from one to ten...

    to do yourself? fairly tough, seems like one of those things that is a lot easier once youve done it a time or two, but there are def plenty of things that can go wrong, like dropping lifters and stuff. Gotta pull the radiator and accessories.

    theres also the supporting parts to consider, head blots, gaskets, lifters, pushrods, most people do the timing chain and oil pump while theyre at it.

    It an be a 7 or 8 out of 10 for the first timer. LS1Howto has a good write up on a cam and spring install with photos.

    It could be easily done with proper tools. I took my time with mine and made sure I got all the tools and parts that I needed to complete the task.

    It was fairly rewarding once I was done and nothing broke.

    when i did mine i used ls1howto.com like stated above and it worked out good going by that,but i had problems getting my crank pulley off (didnt have a good puller)and getting my exhaust off(i didnt have a lift car was on jack stands)so that set me back and added alot of frustration but other than that it wasnt bad,fairly easy, i also had a friends help
