    SS Camaro Maintenance Question

I have a 2001 SS with about 15,000 miles on it. I change the oil every 3 months and recharge the K&N filter every 6 months. Is there anything else I should do since it is about 7 years old now even though it has low mileage?
It could be 10 years before I hit the 60,000 mile maint. mark.
    Thanks for your input.

I already had to replace the battery. I usually stay with Delco stuff but they tell me they make crappy batteries now. I went with a Bosch. Tires still look good though. I drive it about 15 miles every weekend is all. The rest of the time it is garaged.
    Thanks

i suppose you could also check you A/C to make sure it's charged, brakes no doubt will be fine w/only 15k. i can't really think of anything else. sounds like you are already on top of it...

Wow, 15 miles a weekend. Guess if you want to be sure everything is absolutely perfect calculate about 10K/year (think that's about average mileage) - then bounce it off the maintenance schedule in the owners manual. Just an idea...

I might take a look at the drive belt, the coolant (even if it's dexcool) the orange stuff, the tranny fluid could be changed or powerflushed and the same goes for the rear end fluid. I know some of these don't need to be done based upon the low mileage but I like to do them. I only have 2500 on my '02 and I just did all of the above. Just my $.02 worth.

Fuel filter, its cheap insurance. Wouldn't be a bad idea to do all your major fluids, coolant, rearend oil, tranny fluid, plugs/wires even.

Thanks, I was thinking about doing the plugs and wires just for the heck of it.
Fuel filters is also a good idea which I always forget about. I would like to drive it more often but I want it to last me 50 more years

Flush the brake fluid. Should be done at least every two years.

    Brakes

The thing which I found with mine (20'000 from new - 1999 Z28) was the front drivers side brake rotor warped. Check these out as it's a common problem with the stock rotors. I've got Brembo grooved on order, so will let you know how they perform.

Just installed the new rotors this weekend, they look great, although only done 10 miles on them, so not worn in yet.

Is that all you changed just the rotors? I was looking into come new ones because mine have rust pits in them. I just got the car and i think the previous owner let it sit out side. Looking for an upgrade that wont empty my wallet. I want to go with a whole new brake setup eventually just can't afford it right now. How much were yours?
