Sportlines + Zr tires + Snow = STUCK !!!
Lol had a fun drive home last night. Surprised how well the tires actually gripped and got me home. I left work at 5am so it was really bad no plows or anything out yet. Got stuck right in front of my house at least. Time to put the winters on soon !!!

I was driving home about 2am last night in my AWD SS Silverado and had a tough time. Every time I turned the steering wheel, my truck went straight. And when I accelerated I went sideways. It sucked! And for you to do it in the Camaro...

That actually turned out as a sweet picture. I like the white camaro with the white wheels sitting in the snow.

SOM- 2002 SS
I can't wait till I get to clean it and pull it out of the garage onto a fresh sheet of snow for some pics
I actually haven't washed it for about 3 weeks. the car was so brown I was going to wash the top half and the rims and leave the bottom brown so it looked like a 2-tone Unfortunately some of the snow/slush took some of the dirt off !
Ill be trying to get the snows put on the stock 16s tomorrow. ALso debating on removing the front airdam. it's so low its acting like a snowplow!Last edited by 5abivt; 12-09-2009 at 04:11 PM.

Funny thought I'd add that I wasnt travelling in the direction that the car is sitting in now. I was coming home from where I took the pic, felt like a hero, turned left and pulled the e-brake. Spun around and rolled backwards and couldnt move any more lol ! Go figure I didnt get stuck the entire 18 km commute and finally do 10 feet from my driveway

Oh Yeah!
I've got my Blizzaks on already, but Monday morning sucked, the roads were iced over, it actually did better than some cars on the road, just have to be careful!

I think ill be in trouble with deep snow falls i may get my stok springs put back on to gain ground clearance. also going to invest in a small shovel i know ill be getting stuck in parking lots !
You guys with snows what tire sizes you running? I tried to find 225/65/16s for a taller overall diameter to help raise the car but the only steal of a deal I found was 225/55/16s. I have a feeling theyre going to be smaller in height compared to my current 275/35/18s. If they are smaller my car will be even lower to the ground... and im in trouble..

Navy Blue Metallic- 2002 Camaro SS
I drive mine all year round. Switched to my winters about three weeks ago.
Think I had some luck there. Because today will be the first day I will need them.

I used to drive my 96 formula in the snow with blizzaks and it was OK. When i got my 2000 i said no way in hell im putting this baby through that. The drive to work 6am yesterday was fun. We got 12 inches but the subaru with blizzaks did great.

Some all seasons or snow tires make a huge difference. It is great when you pass someone stuck on the side of the road or in a ditch with an suv while you are driving a v8 rwd car.

Im in az too. The other day, I attempted to drive up to flagstaff. I've got bald rear tires (stock size) and heard there was snow up there. Back east it'd take a few weeks of cold freezing temps for the snow to start sticking.....weellllll...i get about 30 miles out of flag, and i start seeing cars with snow on them. Note: I just wanted to see snow on the ground, not go galloping through it. Anyway, within 5 mins, the rain turned into snow, and the road turned into slush ice snow mix, and I was in the middle of the snowstorm. I nearly panicked as I could feel the car want to fishtail about. I saw a 350z that had already gone over in the ditch, outfitted with the usual rediculous 20 inch chromes, and a police officer talking to him in his window. I saw one of those no U turn, turn around dealies, and gunned for it and turned around. I know it was stupid to go up there with bald tires, but I had no idea that it would stick so soon. I figured if the cop pulled me over, i'd ask him if he rather me get stuck and have to push me to safety. My old trans am had great a/s tires, and i drove that car through a canadian winter, and only got stuck once from trying to drive into a parkinglot that hadnt been plowed.
