Dont even waste your time porting your Tb. The stock Tb will hold you clear over 500hp so it wouldnt even be worth the hassle. Look at some lt's, ory and maybe a tune to get some better numbers.

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Best you can do in Cali is mid length headers. Long tubes are verboten in the land of the smog Nazi's, as are deleting or moving the location of the cats (i.e., ORY = no go). You can do a cat back and a tune. IMHO 290 is kinda low for a 2002. Stock I dynoed 306/323. How many miles are on your car? FYI: Nothing is illegal til you're caught. But if you're caught in Cali be prepared to face loss of vehicle. 01-02 exhaust manifolds are pretty free flowing. Might be a wash except for the weight reduction.

Metallic Red- 1995 Mustang GT
Also, if you have stock gears, you might as well swing for some 4:10's for better acceleration.

4.10's work well with an M6. 3.73's work well with an A4. I have 3.73's as I have an A4 car with 41,xxx miles on it. I also have a Volant CAI, QTP 1-3/4 LT's, !cats, !AIR, 3" ORY, 3" E-cutout in the I pipe. Car put down 343 rwhp and 357 rwt on the dyno earlier this year during tuning.
More/future changes: 3" True duals w/ Magnaflows. Later: 3400 stall......
