Sold the 2000 SS M6. Tired of the clutch slipping since it was new. 80,000
Bought new 2005 GTO A4. Should never slip again. Want a turbo. Seems to be only .1-.2 faster in the quarter.

The GTO is nice and all, but to me, it just likes like a modified Grand Prix. Absolutely no sign of heritage in the look of the car.

Same approach (IMO) that GM took with the new Camaro; there's just something missing. And I have to say...I'm not really a Mustang guy, but Ford hit it right on the money with the restyled Mustang.

The GOAT is nice and a great little sleeper, but you're pullin around an extra 500 lbs with that LS2. Your SS was faster with a lot less $$ in. I tried out the GOAT. Didn't care for it much, but enjoy it if you like it.

a couple ppl i was talking to said the layout was stupid for having the upshift on the front of the wheel on both sides, rather than the right as the upshift, left to downshift. a couple ppl that were racing them auto-x (coming off of a standard 6spd) complained about the operation and location.one guy said he was shifting on accident during agressive manuevers while racing. i mean, i'm sure its good for cruising fast / luxory-type driving, but i've just heard some complaints about it when driven in racing enviornment

The GTO is .1-.2 and about 3-4 mph faster. Bone stock on both.
The GTO will take better to mods especially when I get rid of the TM and change the shift points with the Predator I'm about to buy. The NOS is going on soon and I won't have that darn slipping clutch. <:

You're right about the weight. Unfortunate. 400 lbs though. It has much more room in the back seats. 400lbs = 40 HP and they gave me an extra 80. I can live with more power and a bigger car. <:
