my cousin is lookin at a red 2000 ss that has slp badges but isn't sure if it's actually an slp ss or if it's just got some slp parts and badges? anyone know how to tell or what to look for?

That one? I don't think they ever came from the factory with SLP badges, just SLP parts. You can lift the hood it should say SLP on the intake. The exhaust is likely an SLP loudmouth. It sounds like you want to know if it came from the factory that way, but what's it matter really? It's got the parts would he really let that effect his decision?

It could if he is interested in a "Real" SS - we don't need to start that debate again, but look for the Wu8 on the door options sticker. Goodluck!

Also look for Y2K on the door sticker,,,,this would signify that the car infact has some SLP options as well. If so there would be another sticker on the passenger door with a specific list of the SLP options installed.

Call SLP and give them the Vin#...............they'll let you know.
