shift boot wire

I'm in the market for a short throw shifter, and i found one on Lou's Camaro. I would like to perfect the job but my shift boot is just kinda sitting there. So here i am asking you kind people if you know where i could order the shift boot wire that holds it in place. Here are some pictures.

easiest and cheapest thing to do is make one yourself. That's what several people including me have done. If you have the old one use it as a template for your bends. If not you may be able to eyeball it or use the console where it clips in as one. I think I used 12 gauge electrical fence wire.

Just bough one from Farmer2 (that is his name on here). Hasnt come in yet but people say that it is really good! and its metal wire not plastic like the oem junk. bought it for 23.00 shipped! really cool guy! give him a pm and he can tell u more about it!

The boot should be sitting above the trim piece, is your's not staying up? If not just buy a new one from GM and slap it in.
