She is Back

It's been awhile since I've been on here and the reason is my car blew up unfortunately. Now with a New (to my car it has 6XXXX miles on it) LS1 I'm driving her around and loving it. Now what do you guys think about rebuilding the whole motor (I know i just got it back but whatever lol) I want to put LS6 heads and intake on it and just build the whole thing up. Don't really know about cam's or anything like that so suggestions are good. It will be a daily driver so keep that in mind.

I got the 228r cam from Texas speed. Its a mild cam and great for dd'ing, I haven't put it in yet cause I wanna do LS6 heads and all the accessories together before I do but other people say it is a good cam for my needs which are very similar to yours.

well im glad to hear you didnt sell it, what did you do with that ls6 you had that you were gonna put in the s10?

I actually still have it i dont know what im going to do with it. I would love a project car to put it in but money isnt just right right now

Keep LS6 as a spare bullet or sell and make profit/put in bank acct for other things/mods in the future.

just curious. why didnt you put the ls6 into the car?

The LS6 had more miles on it and I was gonna put it in a S10 so I bought another motor for the camaro which was actually cheaper for less miles so thats my reasoning lol

Oh and yeah I ended up not buying a S10 for cost of insurance and all... But I might sell it I just have trouble dealing with the idea that I have a perfectly good motor that wont be used for anything right now
