    Rev limiter

Does the rev limiter on the 1998 Z28 work in neutral?

    One way to find out.

I honestly do not know if our cars have "rev limiters" since there have been many instances of bent push rods in MT equipped cars through the years.

Yes. As noted, it's not recommended to bounce the car off the rev limiter. The idea behind the mechanical device is that it cuts fuel required for combustion and can possibly save your motor.

One problem with revving too high is it puts a lot of added stress on engine components, such as push rods. This is why people upgrade those to make them less prone to bending under higher loads.
