Replacing SS Spoiler LEDs?
Anyone ever tried to replace the leds on an SS spoiler? Just picked one up, but its got lights out. I know I can get a new one for 50 bucks, but it seems like a shame when the lense is in good shape. Tried the search with no luck.
TIA

The cheapest I found was through GMPartsdirect.com for $100.00, but I don't even think it's possible to replace each ind. little LED is it??? Even if you had the patience.

Just a quick update on mine from GMpartsdirect.com too...it was in stock and shipped immediately. No problem, this was about 6 months ago.

I've got mine ordered and I'll tell ya if its any good when it gets here. Don't wanna get everyones hopes up if its not a good piece. Says its OEM, but you never know till it arrives. Might take a bit thanks to Christmas

I recently bought mine about 2 months back, a genuine SLP piece,,,,with the right part number and all molded right into the lens,,,
But I was a little dissappointed though,,,the wiring came without the correct plug at the end. So I had to rob the connector off of the original light and go back to GM for the correct terminals and install all this on the new light,,,,,guess they are getting so cheap they don't even put the connectors on the wiring now,,,,

Yes, mines the same way.. missing the terminal, but all I did was disconnect it from the original and attached it to the new lense. And yes.. blacking it out is on the list of things to do. VHT is ordered. Gotta get another new light for replacement just in case.

But you can't attach the plastic connector to the new lens unless you grab some new terminals,,,,it's actually those terminals that hold that plastic connector to the wiring. Unless you have those funky looking terminals laying around????? I had to run 30 miles to the local GM dealer to find mine.
For even just $50 for the light, you would think they could at least put 50 cents worth of terminals and a plastic connector on the end
