It would depend how new the rear end is. The new gears is definatly a plus. You can buy the ring and pinon (gears) alone for $250, but if the new gears where installed properly and are in great shape along with the rest of the rear, then $400 isn't too bad. Consider that slp sells the gears for $250, the install kit for $132, and if you need the paddle kit to convert zextel tortion to auburn then that is another $190, so a $400 setup could quickly pay for itself.

It would cost you more than that to get the new gears installed.

Black on Black- 2000 Camaro SS M6
Good price bro. Are you a M6 or A4? Def worth if its an A4. If not, maybe you should think about getting some 410s

I just finished installing 3.73 in my SS this past weekend, along with an Eaton diff. I feel an excellent improvement all around, obviously nothing like 4.10's but most definitely a noticable difference. with my stock 3.42's I would shift out of 5th gear at 135-140ish at 5,500rpms, now with the 3.73's I shift out of 5th at 120-125mph at 5,500rpms. The bottom end was improved greatly as well, it just seems to climb the rpms way more effertlessly now. check out my video from earlier this week, with the new 3.73s http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...58170198&hl=en
