    Question quarter mile results...

    anyone ever go beat up on a late model monte 5.3? how bad? ive been looking at one and was wondering how it would hang with our cars (stock). any info. is helpful before i end up bringing one home and turn out disappointed. all the tidbits ive gathered so far have been very helpful. heads up competition stories are the real proof. just trying to gather all the information i can.

    i dunno much about em, but im thinking at one point they went to front wheel drive, then went back to rear wheel. i may be thinking of impalas, i dunno, dont listen to me

    No sir, after they went to front wheel drive, that is where they stayed. Montes and Impala SS' pull low 14's stock in the 1/4.

    02 and 95 both z28's

    have not had a problem with the 5.3 monte carlo, or impala when in my ls1. my lt1 was a driver's game.
