Hey, Fast Droptop, do you have any track times with your combo. I am trying to build my convertible up myself and just seeing what yours is running with your combo.

If you can believe it I've never taken it to the track. BUT we have a 1/4 mile strip being built as we speak aabout twenty mins from my house so hopefully in a few months I'll know something.

Here's my 1970 Camaro SS396/375 hp with the L78 solid lifter motor. They only made 600 Camaros with this motor in 1970. Breaking it down by color isn't worth the effort because nobody knows for sure. Unfortunately, it looks like I may be selling it in the near future. I need the money to finish my 69 Z28 restoration. Sorry, the linked picture won't work so you need to click it.

You might not get to make too many runs if it's a NHRA or IHRA sanctioned track. I went to the local track that's IHRA, and they won't allow a convertable without a roll cage to run faster than 13.49. I ran four 13.4 sec. runs no prob., but when I ran a 13.31, they told me I was all done.

Not sure if mine is rare enough, but I guess its one of 17 black hardtops in '98.

Either way I love the car, I hate driving the winter vehicle......

HaHa, it would take 3 SS converitbles to get close to an even trade. But this isn't my rare car. My rare Camaro is the 69 Z28 with JL8 4 wheel disc brakes. 1 of 206 made, fully documented with all original parts. I have the crossram setup with it including a super rare GM fiberglass crossram hood(1 of approx 100 ever made). It's still in the middle of a full blown restoration.
