Sunset Orange Metalic- 2001 Camaro SS
just checked out a v6 forum and everyone says to leave the TB alone on the 3.8. They all said its already plenty big enough. If you really wanna do something to it just polish it.

i've heard a lot of bad things about polishing a TB
but then again its mostly punk ass kids with a dremel tool and too much time on their hands..
they end up with a screwed up idle and that extra 2hp

I understand that you are going to port, I have not heard any thing - on the v6, but on the 5.7/A4 porting will hack up you line pressure, and may cause tran. problems.
am sure your man knows his buness

Also, there's a large misconception around polishing actually being beneficial. In most cases it's not, and can actually hurt flow by causing turbulence. When I port a throttle body, I'll finish it off with a 120grit sand roll to give it a nice smooth finish but still leave small cuts in the metal. This is important. Ever seen any of the CNC'd throttle bodies?? They are not polished...
