Think all the v6 ones are electric, not positive though.

just checked out a v6 forum and everyone says to leave the TB alone on the 3.8. They all said its already plenty big enough. If you really wanna do something to it just polish it.

I understand but there's other things I'm going to do. I really want the manta stripe on the hood scoop and lowering springs. But I gotta pace myself cause the lack of income is really slowing down my progress.

i've heard a lot of bad things about polishing a TB

but then again its mostly punk ass kids with a dremel tool and too much time on their hands..

It sucks. There's soooo many things I want to get done before the big G14 gathering in May. If nothing else I want the manta stripe.

Yeah that's true, but my friend is doing it so I'm not worried.

Do you have plans to get it painted or are you getting a decal?

More than likely a decal for now cause it's cheaper but later on I'll get it painted on.

Heard from another member that the decal was very hard to put on so they ended up trashing it. If you get one i would recommend the one that doesn't cover the whole scoop, just outlines it. Should be easier to install.
    good luck with it

Yeah I was looking at some and they said the same thing. I really like the entire scoop covered and I would get Matt to install it. He did my friends TA with the blackbird stripes so I'm pretty sure he can do this.

I understand that you are going to port, I have not heard any thing - on the v6, but on the 5.7/A4 porting will hack up you line pressure, and may cause tran. problems.
am sure your man knows his buness

No. You're thinking of the MAF. Porting the MAF will screw with line pressure. Porting the TB has absolutely no effect on line pressure.

Also, there's a large misconception around polishing actually being beneficial. In most cases it's not, and can actually hurt flow by causing turbulence. When I port a throttle body, I'll finish it off with a 120grit sand roll to give it a nice smooth finish but still leave small cuts in the metal. This is important. Ever seen any of the CNC'd throttle bodies?? They are not polished...

Sorry I missed this one.. You already have an 85mm inlet factory fly by wire.. No need for porting..
