well heads will break the wallet if not then whats your limit on money heads will be anywere from 1200-2500 and up inless you get used

but intake isnt to bad on money and a lid plugs and wires if yours are old there are several things you can do to the ls1

a set of 243 heads, if your on a budget, they make great power ,right out the box, then pic a cam, comp cam 228/232 dur@.600 lift both sides, good free flowing exhaust with headers, and find a good tuner, not hand held, example predator, $400 for tune, example, this will give you 400 to 430 rwhp, thats enough to make any man smile, got my 243 heads off ebay ,new in box for 500

I had that exhaust on my 94 z28 with gutted cats aand it was pretty loud..I ddont think I could go with headers because id wanna spend no more than 2 grand exhaust 400, 150 to install..heads 500 cam 200 and no tellin how much it is to get that put in.ahhhh! Can u link me to the heads you bought on ebay? And also to a nice big cam? Id appreciate it!

First check out our sponsor page:

They offer head/cam packages that will make some good power. A cam installed correctly with a dyno tune will run you right around $15-1700. Keep in mind, you're going to need supporting mods to make everything work correctly. You can't just put a cam in. You need hardened pushrods and stiffer valve springs at the very least. A head won't be 100% until you upgrade your intake (assuming you get a set of nice free flowing heads). On the flip side, an intake won't do very much until you have a cam and heads. Start with the exhaust, long tube headers, and a nice catback. Then do a lid and a tune. You should notice a huge difference just doing that.

Also to keep in mind, the more power you add, the more likely something is going to break (stock rear ends ). Don't forget about modding your suspension too. Power is pointless unless it can be transferred to the asphalt.

    Sadly now demodded :(

You an A4 or M6? If A4 then a stall is the most cost effective thing you could do.
    67 Camaro: K-K + 797-z (look it up), 454/Th400/4.10 12-bolt = 6mpg, PS/PDB/PW tilt, tach, gauges...

2005 Corvette LS2/M6 Magnetic Red Metallic (What else would it be?) w/ Cashmere interior

    2002 Z28: NBM/Tan, MTI smooth lid, smooth bellows, !AIR, !cats, 1-3/4" QTP SS LT's, 2-1/2" TD's with X-pipe, MagnaFlows dumped at axle, custom welded SFC's, MidWest Chassis body mount adjustable T/A, 3400 stall, 3.23 gears (was 2.73). Tuned: 343rwhp/357rwt (before TD's). Best: 12.559 @ 108+, 1.73 60' @ 3500' DA w/MT ET Street DR's.

The 3400 stall (along with accompanying tranny mods) shaved 1/2 second from my 1/4 mile time.

Does your car have any mods at all? If not then the 1st thing you should do is sub-frame connectors. Without them you car is more "twist-o-flex" than most. I know as I used to have a 96 Z28 vert. You could feel the car flex going over RR tracks and while doing "spirited" driving. Adding the SFC's made the car a much more stable platform.

You already have an SLP lid. An LS6 intake will help also.

See my sig for the 02. The engine is stock but I do mid-12 quarters. I still get 24+ mpg on trips too.

When I started 3500 converter and Pacesetter headers. Same as above mid to low 12's. Took it to the Nascar race in Fort Worth for several years with that setup. I was able to get 31 mpg with that setup running 2.73 in the back... 31 mpg was all highway.. City I was back to about 22/24 mpg...
