Paint trouble Pewter metallic

hi,

I have a 2001 chevy Camaro, with the color light pewter metallic.
I am living in the Netherlands (Europe), so my car has the folding mirrors.

about some weeks ago i bought some "American" mirrors, because there are nicer.

so i brought them to the painter, he already painted them 5 times, but it seems not to match perfectly.

he used the PPG paint with color WA382E.

Is it so hard the match this color, i had read on ls1tech.com, there are more problems with this color, even someone told that there 11 shades of this color, used by GM in all these years.

Has someone this problem too?

The 382E is the correct code for light pewter metallic. The LPM is difficult to match up. Is it significantly off, or just notice it if really staring at it?

if i were you i prefer painting them black or flat black !
