our cars is it a rev limiter they have ?
The limiter that is on them is it a rev limiter ??? Engine governor ??

i thinks its a rev limiter...cuz if it was a governer..it usually would cut off at 130 or sumthing...oh and jesus love you

Like they said it's both...and you can raise both. If your f-bod came with Z rated tires it's limited at 162ish....the cheap tire f-bods is at 120.

rev limiter is at 6100 and i havent ran mine past 150 so i wouldnt know about top speed.

According to HPTuners...my stock rev limiter was at 6200 RPM's.
I tend to not doubt what it says stock.
The stock tach doesn't keep up with a stock car in the first two gears. That might be why it appears to be 6,000.

my a4 is 6200. i have bounced it off it many times beucase doesnt want to shift into 3rd lol.

It's not always the case but most auto manufactorer's set the engines rev limiter a few hundred RPM's below the point of destruction. I'm not saying that the car won't destroy itself after extended redlining but just touching redline for a second won't destroy an engine (Usually). The Redline is basically saying that this is the hight of safe revving
