    one ls1 for 2 Lt1's

so this couple wants to trade their 2 z28 lt1's for my ls1 99. No mods cut the muffler and some free mods, a4 ,110k nothing special besides the fact its an ls1. i got mines really cheap i figure i can keep one and sell one and pick up another cheap ls1. 93 and 94 they haven't stated their mods yet but they come with a supercharger uninstalled i believe. any advice? i have not driven an lt1 fbody i had a 96 ss and this is my 3rd ls1 fbody thanks in advance

my buddy has a LT1 Z m6 we had the same mods headers and full exhaust deleted cats and air lid, he did have a short throw and i don't, he won once from a dig and i won once from a roll. The LT1 has much better low end but our LS1 top ends get them in the higher RPM's personally IMO i like 98-02 body the best and i would stick with ur current one unless looking for aonther LS1

If miles are decent and you don't mind the looks an lt-1 w/ a s/c will scream. Or you could sell both lt-1's for cheap and get another ls-1. Where in Cali are you I might be able to help you.

Last time I checked a 96 SS is a LT1 car, so I'm guessing you HAVE driven a LT1 car...

    Thumbs down

I met the seller of the two cars...he's a young guy. He is a very nice guy. I was going to trade his maroon 94 for my 485 hp ls1 engine and tranny. I backed out after inspecting the car. it came in overheating, it has a badly cracked windshield (camaros are a pain in the ass to replace windshields on so they are expensive), the drivers side window wont roll down, its missing the cigarette lighter assembly in the dash, and a bunch of other stuff. it was also leaking a bunch of fluids from beneath. he also stated that the vehicle had a rebuilt engine with only 56K on it but the 6 k member bolts looked untouched. oh yeah and the chassis had 180,000 miles. So definitely not worth it to me. Also, if you get the car with the supercharger and then mount the supercharger to a tired bottom end, you can get $5K deep in it faster than you can say "holy $hit."

His other car looks like its been beat and raced, I would think twice about it but he is a really nice guy and really likable. if you have an lt1 laying around that you know has been built right and you want a supercharger, go for it.

And the supercharger is a rebuilt supercharger and its missing the crank pulley and another misc. part.

I waited and picked up a 1999 Z28 LS1 with RS package for approximately $3.5K

    ...just my $.02
