new Z/28 is D (before) A?
http://www.leftlanenews.com/camaro-w...8-is-dead.html
Anyone heard of this? Is left lane a reliable source? I personally haven't read much from them, but had this sent over to me just now.
EDIT:
Just saw this also

I would have to semi agree, i would like to see v8 Camaro's only, even tho that wont happen, i can dream, i mean why would you buy an American muscle car and get a v6, that is half ass. my 2 cents

i seriously doubt that GM is going to be putting all of this time, money, research, development, and energy into a camaro nameplate and not offer a z/28 model with a v8 drivetrain in it...supercharged or normally aspirated.

Yet another rumor concerning the 'new' Camaro.
Starting to think we will never even get a base model at this point. Which would be fine with me.

if your implying that GM has ruined the camaro i respectfully disagree, i like the look of the new camaro and i'm really glad that GM has something mustang priced to blow the new mustangs out of the water. As far as there not being a z28 i don't think that GM would axe it since they need something to compete with the shelby gt.

It is okay to have varying opinions.
To me, the Camaro is the worst of the 'retro' cars.
Of course, keep in mind GM is the only one that hasn't released theirs. But yet they have been talking about it the longest.
It has been what now....4 years since they started talking about it.
Starting to think it is just hype and there will never be a new Camaro.
Challenger > Mustang > Internet pictures of the 'production' Camaro
And I can't STAND the Challenger.

I don't know how these things get life -- but let me assure EVERYONE -- that every car and truck program out there is on the table right now -- and I think I can safely say that this is the case at the other two American manufacturers -- all one has to do is to look at what's happening to new vehicle sales -- coupled with the housing meltdown -- the budget deficit -- the elections -- the Dow Jones Industrials down by a breathtaking amount -- and of course, high energy costs that are forcing the price of everything upward................
Let us take a quick walk down memory lane - shall we?
The year is 1979 -- interest rates are double digit -- energy costs and inflation are spiraling out of control.......people are "upside down" on their loans for pickups and large cars................
.....................and yet Chevrolet somehow sold 282,000 Camaros -- TEN years into a lifecycle.
Yes -- the times are different -- but I'm betting that when people see the production car -- they see the value that the car offers -- and they see the fuel economy -- we'll sell a lot of 'em.
........I said a long time ago "Have Faith" -- and that's what I'm saying once again.

I for one hope they make them and that they are aweome. True Duals alone make me wanna buy.
If GM goes back to the Z28>SS I think that is cool and recognizes the history. BUT, I hope they actually give the Z28 (or whatever top dog) MORE HORSEPOWER.
That way we won't continue these ridiculous arguments about which is "better". Let's let that crap end with the 4th gens... the internet will thank us.

i agree, gm has ran this plane into the ground, simply put no one else but the faithfull few have any intrest in this car, shit if it wasnt for transformers people would be saying camaro who?, that was their shot to get the car out, but gm has failed miserably, shit ive seen at least 10 challengers roaming around, yet a spy pic leaks out of the half way put together camaro and people shit their pants.
just think of it this way,
1. at least gm didnt ruin the trans am name plate by this half hearted retro bullshit
2. out cars will be worth more in the long run, i personally have a low miled 02 ss with a lot of slp options sitting in the garage collecting looks from the neighbors and splattering the local mustang fags grilles with tire debris and rocks.
the last camaro is already out fellas, go pick yourself up a nice 02 le and call it a day.
