Bottled 660! The 2011 Camaro 3.6l DI DOHC 60*v6 N/A has more base hp than a base ls1.. @ ~315 vs ~305..

The 2010 has 312hp also. GM didnt release the camaro sae numbers until mustang announced their numbers. The 304 hp was the llt motors rating in the cts.
My '10 M6 LLT did 273 rwhp 250 ft lbs on a dynojet with a k&n drop in and stock SS cans. A6 LLT did 246hp and 245 ft lbs if i remember correctly. A 100% stock a6 l99 '10 camaro did 324hp 348 ft lbs about an hour before me. All runs were same day/same dyno.
Hardest part is tuning is only avail from Vince/trifecta. No hptuners/efilive/diablosport etc.. Also seems to have some nasty torque management hidden in the computer. Down the road these coukd be killer bang for the buck if they get a few kinks worked out.
Thats ROD1 drag slip. That run got him on the home page of camaro5.com. Im pretty sure the build was fairly cheap for the results. Nos, skinnies, drag slicks on z06 wheels, used ss exhaust, cai.. Pretty impressive results! V6 is 3700# though vs 3440 for an 02!

304hp was also the number thrown out by the prototype testers.. My guess is just as the LQ1 proto was rated @ far more than actual production, that the 3.6l was prolly also producing more than the actual production engine numbers. But 273 rwhp puts you ~ 304 crank or so with drivetrain loss percentage...

"The 304 horsepower in the 2010 Camaro was actually a conservative rating on our end," Tom Sutter, GM V6 chief engineer, said in today's press release. "But we knew already that this award-winning engine produced at least the amount of power we stated, but now we've gone the extra step in certifying the engine for this application and have verified an additional 8 horsepower."

Sweeeeeeet!!!!
LLT is getting replaced with the LFX @ 325-330hp!!!!!!!!!
The new engine option description is: "LFX 3.6L SIDI, DOHC, VVT, E85 MAX, Alum GM"
The LFX should displace 3.6L, like the current V6 found in the Camaro. And it's packed to the brim with advanced technologies like Spark-Ignition Direct-Injection, Dual Overhead Cams, Variable Valve Timing, and E85 capability!!
Those are the hard details...but a little research raises some other interesting points. It is likely that the LFX is going to build on the innovations of the 3.0L LF1 V6 found in vehicles like the Cadillac CTS, SRX, and Chevy Equinox. That engine features a composite intake manifold, integrated exhaust manifolds and optimized NVH/airflow treatments.
When the LLT was transplanted from the CTS into the Camaro, it picked up 8hp, or 2.6% because of different intake/exhaust efficiencies. The LF1 produces 270hp in 3.0L form in the CTS. If we scale up the displacement of the 3.0L engine to 3.6L, and use the same 2.6% power increase as the LLT, estimates have the new LFX producing anywhere from 325-330 hp when used in our favorite pony car!!
Here's some interesting documents on the LF1 (current CTS/SRX/Equinox engine) for your reading pleasure:Last edited by konigandy6; 01-07-2011 at 05:01 PM. Reason: removed forum link

None, I sold it back. Had transmission problems. Theres a thread on c5 where 65% (100+ members) are repoting the ay6 binds or grinds and 5 have gone lemon so far. I would have to shift to third before i could get first at a stop sign.

Wait for a '12 if you can. It will use the e39 ecm instead of the bosch unit. Then you can use hptuners which means hello boost!!!! They are expecting a 2.25 release date on this. The bosch unit isnt even on their backburner. You can run boost now but its a mail order tune instead of a software your speed shop uses. Plus youll get 18hp for free out the gate!!
Honestly the car is amazing except for the trans issue i had. Its not a Gm issue as much as its the transmission maker - aisen's fault imo.
Paint on the 2010 and 11 are extremely thin and chip super easy. Wait for a late build 11 or 12 model unless you like huffing the touch up paint! Not trying to act like i know it all.. Just want to share exp and help others get the most for their buck!!

14.35 was my best 1/4 if your interested . Thats with a soft launch to avoid wheelspin. DR would have hit 13s i think.

No plans currently..
If i do ill save enough to pay cash but only if they get rid of the AY6 or give the a6 v6 a posi and use the e39.. Then id get anpther '12 v6. Otherwise get an 11 or 10 v8.. Or just build a 60s muscle car. Long story short ... Nothing soon :-/
