White Liquid Silver- 2000 Camaro SS/ 02 YZF-R1
I've used the clay bar on the rear bumper and was amazed as to how good it worked. I usually wax my car with the Tech wax, quick and easy. They say it doesn't last very long but I do it so often that it really doesn't matter. Once a year I'll 3M hand glaze it first...After every wash I dry it with my backpack blower and the wax makes it easy to blow dry...

I have heard many different ways, but what is your procedure to the clay bar. Step by step if you have a minute, thanks a lot. I kind of want my exterior detailed, but I am thinking I might be able to get that shine by myself. I dunno though...Thanks for your help.

Clay bar is really pretty simple, just can take a while.
The key is a good product for clay lube.
You can also test to see if your paint even needs claybar'd. Use a clean sandwich baggie. Put your hand in it, and lightly feel your paint surface. If you feel little bumps, clay bar would remove them.
Clay doesn't shine up the car, it gets rid of surface imperfections and dirt that washing/polishing doesn't get rid of.
Make sure you use plenty of the spray lube and don't drop the claybar and you will be fine.
Take your time, don't apply much pressure, and you will be fine.

Nice job SpeedAddict38
Why can't you use a leaf blower where you live?
I did a lengthy write up on detailing your car if anyone's interested in this thread here;http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread.php?t=63638

That's what I figured, that's what I used to do to, go to a self serve car wash late at night. I would bring 2 threaded top sealing buckets, one filled with distilled water and soap, the other just distilled water.
I have a B&D cordless sweeper, it works great for drying off the car, granted it takes a lil longer than a gas powered would, but it's very quiet in comparison, it comes with two 18volt batteries too. Might wanna give it a try.
