    Need some advice on vibration.

On the interstate there is a vibration in the car. When I put it in gear it sounds as if one of the U-Joints is bad. I replaced them but the noise is still there. While replacing them I put it in the air I checked for slack in the driveline there was none. However when I pulled on the rear wheels while the car was in neutral I found some slack there, The axles would slide a little. Could this vibration be due to the ring and pinion gear going out.

do you have vibration also in neutral? do you feel it in the steering wheel? i had a defective tire that was causing vibration, starting around 60.

The same thing just happened with my car and it turned out to be an axle bearing and carrier bearing. I tried all the same things as you but it came down to the rear.

I didn't even think about Axle bearings or carrier bearing. Thanks for the suggestion's I will have to replace those and see what happen's. Even if it isn't problem it never hurts to replace a bearing.
