Miles Per Tank
i am wondering how many miles per tank of gas you guys see. When I bought my car it had around an 1/8th of a tank left and said it had been about 254 miles. I didnt know if the previous owner reset it every time so I filled it up and reset it. The car being new to me and having a six speed.....lets just say I still havent stopped smiling. Ok so anyway, i let it go until the "check gauges" light came on and it was at 262 miles. I was content with that as my prior daily driver was a 1972 Monte Carlo with a 383ci in it which got about 8mpg. Well last weekend I checked my air filter as I knew he had put a KN filter in and it was black with dirt. I cleaned it twice and re-oiled it and put it back in the car, refueled it and drove all week. Well this time the light didnt come on until 300.6 miles elapsed. Is this about right? Just curious as to what you folks see.

I get about 200 miles till it hits 1/4 tank, but its an a4. But then again i would buy a 4 banger if i was worried about gas mileage... lol Dont let it become a habbit in letting it run low, makes everything work harder and you get more debris tryin too go thru your lines.

Don't worry about MPT, MPG is what counts. And as stated earlier don't let it run low - be nice to your fuel pump and it'll be nice to you.

Hell I dont know, I just put 20 dollars in every 5 days or so. I never let it go below the 1/4th tank marker. On a full tank I went 270 miles on the highway with 1/4 tank left on my A4.

A said before, Don't make it a habit running to low on fuel. The Fuel pump relys on the fuel as Coolant. No fuel (low for that matter) and your fuel pump may overheat. Another note (which has been said) is about the debris @ The bottom of the tank and clogging your fuel filter, which in turn will make your pump work harder and harder until, well you know what happens next.

I get 150 until half tank on the city on my A4, never let it go lower. I really haven't measured highway economy.

A4 02 Ss Camy Mpg
As the title states, I own an 02 SS A4 camy...Auto's don't get nearly as good mileage as do the six speeds, but there you have it...Anyways, I usually hit 200-215 on the 1/4 tank marker..but I did run it ALL the way down to "E" once, and i worked out 280 on a full tank... Which equates to about 20 mpg for me. 46,000 miles on my camy with about 60/40 highway/city driving. Hope that helps. - devon

I filled up at 700 on the trip...filled up again at 976 and still had little less then 1/4 tank. I wasn't trying to get good mpg either, I wanted to see what my "normal" driving habits get me per tank.
