Ls1 Swap 4 Ls2 In A 99 Z28
IM swapping my 11000 mile ls1 for a brand new gm performance ls2 will alluminum heads. My questions is Im trying to get it to 500hp. I already bought slp cold air pack includes under car ram air slp lid and slp mass air flow sensor, also have a gt3 cam from lingenfelter cam , slp y pipe and slp loud mouth cat back exhaust , k& n filter , 160 termo slp, bbk shortie headers , and bbk polished intake, ngk plugs iridium, eldebrock stut tower, and the programmer Im wondering what else i can do it it to make it screem to 500 hp. Also what things might i encounter when doing the ls1 vs ls2 swap ? any help would be great

dude y did u even bother. The differance is only like 40whp. Full exhaust and a tune could make that power. U shuda just kept the LS1 and modded it. All the bolt ons and a big H/C setup will get you near your goal

well mu ls1 has over 10000k on it and no longer was feeling as good as it once was. Plus my ls1 was not aluimium boack it was cast iron , going ls2 will be a little litter and its going to be brand new without any miles . I guess I was looking to recreate my car and motor .

How many miles did you have on it? Are you sure it was 10,000miles?

just heads and the right cam will get you at the 500hp mark at the motor. what are you shooting for 500hp at the motor or 500hp at the rear wheels?
