I remember I couldnt find my keys to my truck a few years ago. I found them 3 months later when my friend cleaned his car. They were under his carpet-how does things like this happen?

I don't know if they can, but see if the dealership can change the keys chip number. That way your old keys wont work.

Then the ignition would have to be changed too.

I lost my keys last week while moving into a new house, and I got the ignition key, door key and key fob for $70 from my dealer all brand new. Obviously with my discount, but the fob will have to be programmed to vehicle, so expect some $ there. The key should work fine as long as the dealer isnt retarded and gets the right VATs #
