looking for original documentation

I'm not sure if anyone can help but I thought I'd give this a try..I once was the proud owner of a 02 ss. really nice car fully loaded, center mount exhaust, 5spd, bose, leather, T's, polished "vette" wheels etc.. well, long story short the car went to auction. (repo) I have all the original documentation, window sticker, bill of sale, everything..I'd like to think that it would be worth something to the current owner. How could I find this person to see if there is any interest in the documents?? any thoughts would be helpful.

If you have the VIN all I would know to do is contact DMV and see if you can get name of new owner by telling DMV you had important paperwork for car and then contacting them.

Maybe that would work.

I thought about that too, but I would be pretty surprised if the DMV would release the current owners name/info.

less than 5k. it spent most of the time in the garage. I have the vin of course, maybe car fax? I'm not sure what info that gives, never done it.

You'll be hard pressed to have someone actually divulge personal information... but why not start at the auction and see if they have a record of who bought it.
