looks good. whould claying a white car have that much of a benifit? casue i can barley tell after i wax my car fully.

umm that was the first time i uesed clay but its not as much you see but it feels soo much smoother and cleaner. like i would recomend it i think is amazing

correct me if wrong but shouldnt it be wash- wax then clay. i cant remember how i did it like 5 years ago on my other trans am which is black

its a bar of clay w some spray detailer. it removes all the oxxidation on paint finish= smoother, cleanrer, protection, and all and all some good ol shine

I am 99.9% sure that if you haven't clay barred your white Z recently/ever, that it will make a huge difference. Claying should be done 1-2 times a year, depending on how much its driven.
Right before you clay your car, run your hand over the hood(or any part of the car) and it usually won't feel very smooth. After claying the car, run your hand over it again, and it will feel unbelievably smooth.
Its always best to hand wash the car with Dawn dish soap prior to claying, the Dawn cuts all the old wax and gives you a fresh surface to work with.

holly crap! 9t8z28,y2kpweterss, and jond99 thanks for the comlements, i wasnt realy expecting any.....
i just added black outs for the tail lights,and still debating wether or not i want to powdercoat my wheels black. i like the blacked out look alot but i dont want to do it overkill,im adding afew hints of red to it ..has some in the inter already
hopfully some time with in the year in gona swap my 350 and 700r4 for a ls1 and t56 combo..

not to be mean but you should never use dish soap on your cars paint because it not only takes wax off but it also weakens the paint over time FYI. but handwashing is still the best prep

Nice 3rd gen! I always loved the black 3rds. What brand of clay do you prefer or recommend? I would like to do my car now that the weather is getting nice.

i used med pro grade and some spray deataielr because YOU HAVE TO KEEP IT WELL LUBRICATED OR IT WILL MESS YOU UP keep in mind if you dropp it you have to throw that pice a way i cut wat they gave me in to 1/4
