Iroc vs Ls1 Camaro???

My friend just purchased an Iroc camaro with a flowmaster exhaust system. He wants 2 know what are his chances against my 98 bone stock Z28? both cars are automatics with new tires. Any responces are greatly appreciated...

my bone stock iroc ran a 15.6 with a stage 2 chip back in 1989 [305 tpi automatic ] my 2001z28 in 2001 ran a 13.8 auto. if the race is a quater mile you should win

Only a very well modified 3rd gen can come close to a stock LS1.

I am hoping 2 beat his ass. but then again i had my first loss last week to a 2007 350Z. i was undefeated b4 last week

what happened? i smoke those things in my old camaro, that thing only hit a 14.3

oh as for the iroc its toast your car should take him by 5 at least, but its hard to tell some ls1's are really fast stock,

I dont think the 350Z was stock. b/c i have won somethin like 40 races and lost 1. I even spanked a 2000 Z28. (he might of had the 2.73's)

The Irocs were good for their time, but it would take ALOT of modifications on an Iroc to even come close to an LS1. Not to say it's not possible, of course. Both in stock form, the LS1 is much faster. Race 'em for sure and find out.

well in the hot rod mag i have the 82 ran 16 flat with the 305 CI, then the 86' ran 15.50 87.5 MPH, still losing to the 5.0 stang, then once the 350 CI motor+ lost of options ran 14.66 at 96.24 MPH but for for $2000( not stock)

soo there are some numbers do the math, + more the miles on the car it will be much slower
