Black- 1998 Chevrolet Camaro SS
International Camaro
So yeah my girlfriend lives in Tochigi Japan (3 hours northeast of Tokyo) was walking around with her American friend, and spotted a Camaro. At first when she told me I didn't beleive her because of the fact that gas in Japan is like $9 a gallon roughly, pretty wide for the roads over there, and would be pretty expensive to ship over there if your from Tochigi. (Tochigi is like a "countryside" of Japan by the way, so I highly doubt it is owned by someone in the USA military that is stationed over there seeming there are no bases around) Nonetheless it is pretty cool to see a Camaro even over in the Far East haha....

That's hella cool, a rare car out there for sure, wonder if it's a LS1 or not. Do they drive on the opposite side of the road than us?

Hmmm I tried to ask to see if they seen a Z28, or an "SS" on the side but they said they didn't look. Yeah they drive on the other side of the road along with Great Britian, and territories they once owned/influenced usually. Also their steering wheels are on the opposite side too (probably already knew that, but yeah) I am just amazed that they can drive it...the roads are so narrow over there...especially with those "pod" cars...can't imagine how tight it is with the Camaro... haha

She said that she remembers seeing red Z28 lettering on the back, so I assume it is a Z28 then.

It appears to be a hardtop too, its just all forms of rare. Be pretty interesting to see how the tuners there react, if its at all the same as here.

Yeah, but maybe they could of put those badges on there themselves? Thats what I was thinking...I have known some people to do that back when I lived in Michigan. My friend had a V6 RS and took the RS off to put on the Z28 logo's....

It is....It is just confusing enough for my gf when she comes back to the States for college, and has to drive our way. She said she gets used to it after a month though, but she has been doing it for the past 5 years since she has been going back and forth.

Monterey Maroon Metalic- 2000 Z28
That's very cool. One of my buddies is studying in merry old England and says that in their market the Z28 is equivelant to an RS here in the states. Meaning it is a Z28 with the Series II 3800 and appearance package. He said the SS is the only Camaro with an LS1. I still have a hard time believing him about that.
Also the Viper is sold under the Plymouth brand since Dodge is the luxury, Chrysler equivelant there. Their Jeep Liberty is our Jeep Cherokee, and I think the Magnum has a different name over there.

Yeah...I have a picture (none in a bikini or anything like that), but this is when I was up in Minnesota to watch her graduate/move back to Japan. We are at the Mall of America.
