Pewter- 99 Camaro SS M6
How to verify a TRUE SS?
I have been looking for one for a while and found one that I want but the price just seems too good so I am suspicious...
I am not sure how to verify that the car started as an actual SS, please help!
Thanks in advance!

Also, if you want to confirm any SLP factory alterations to the car, the RPO code Y2Y will also be on that sticker, with the actual SLP alteration sticker being affixed to the passenger's side door.

Thanks for the help guys.
I put a deposit on it after verifying that it was a true SS and pick it up soon. I don't think its an SLP car but thats okay with me.

Red- 2001 Camaro SS
Another quick tip is to look at the "tire" sticker on the driver door jamb. Only true SS's got 17" wheels. Everyone else got 16".

Blue- 1999 Camaro
Hi All,
Just brought home a '99 SS that's got me all puzzled??
Badged as an SS.... but has a B4C code... SS hood, (SLP) exhaust, 17" SS wheels (16" door jam tag) ect...
Signs of a former roll cage...
Any guesses?
Sorry, can't post attachments yet
Thanks!

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
Sounds like a clone and a possible former race car. B4C is a cop car...

Yeah... I did some research on the b4c.... it's a navy-28U, one of 35. someone spent a load of money to make this an SS clone. Just kind of puzzling....

No.... I did some "horse trading" on this one..... I was a little uncomfortable... but wow! What a nice car!
Only now trying to thoruoghly check it out the car. I wanted a WS6 awhile ago... but this fell in my lap.
Not disappointed... just trying to figure out what it is?

B4C's got things normal cars didn't like 1LE brakes. There's a thread or 2 on this floating around here somewhere.

Interesting. The 1LE's are somewhat of a rare beast by themselves, more so than an SS, so either way you got a neat car.

How do you know if your wheels are 17" and both of your doors have been replaced, in which is my case? I do have a plate on the motor with the car # is that proof enough?
